Highways

  1. Why do the slow people always drive in the left lane?

  2. Why do we drive under overpasses and over underpasses?

  3. Why do people start to speed up just when you start to pass them?

  4. Why is it that if there are only two cars on a lonely road, they will meet at a narrow bridge?

  5. Why is the fast lane on the freeway always the first lane to slow down when there is traffic?

  6. How many times have you been on a 4-lane road only to get behind two idiots driving side-by-side AT THE SAME TIME with no attempt to adjust their speed for the even-flow of traffic?

  7. Why do people rush to pass those in the slower lane....only to quickly move back into the slower lane.....and stop suddenly (in front of you) to turn?

  8. Just what is so free about a freeway?

  9. When we are passing someone on the highway and oncoming traffic is approaching, why do we have to push on the steering wheel? Do we really expect the extra little push is going to make the car go faster?

  10. Why is it that the slowest lane on the Freeway is the one you just moved into?

  11. Why is it that the radio announces a traffic bottleneck just as you are passing the last exit or turnoff between you and that bottleneck?

  12. We've all experienced highway construction, when two lanes merge into one, with signs announcing the lane closure for miles before it actually happens. So why is it that there will always be a driver who speeds down the lane that will soon disappear into a concrete barrier, cuts in front of you at the last possible second, then jams on their brakes to avoid that car that was only 30 feet in front of you, requiring you to swerve off the road to avoid hitting Mr. or Ms. My-Time-Is-More-Valuable-Than-Your-Time? Any why is it that there is never a cop around to witness this type of activity which seems to happen constantly?

  13. Why is it that you are the slow poke being passed every which way if you are only driving 10 MPH over the posted speed limit?

  14. Why do we drive straight on a Turnpike?

  15. Why do they call them FREEWAYS when they cost so much money to build?
